Windborne
Sunday, April 23 @ 3pm, Center for Well-Being
SORRY, SOLD OUT!
Prepare to be transported. One of the most exciting vocal groups performing today, Windborne brings its mastery of multiple musical styles and deep ties to social activism to the Center for Well-Being (CWB) in Lemont.
This not-to-miss performance will launch the Acoustic Brew’s 31st season. It also marks the Brew’s return to the CWB after a long COVID-induced hiatus. As long-time audience members know, the CWB has acoustics like the inside of a guitar. Windborne is the perfect group to complement what is a perfect setting for vocal music.
Windborne’s members–Lauren Breunig, Jeremy Carter-Gordon, Lynn Rowan, and Will Rowan–bring more than 20 years of experience studying and performing polyphonic music from all corners of the globe. Their sound is new and classic, passionate and thought-provoking. They sing songs that might have been penned centuries ago but ring true today, many especially so.
Here’s what others have said about Windborne:
